From the Resident Evil 4 remake to an official release date for Final Fantasy XVI, here's everything you might've missed!

PlayStation's long-awaited State Of Play aired last week. And though some titles were left out (God Of War; we missed you), announcements from the event did not disappoint! In the week that would have been E3, fans were given great insight into Sony's year ahead. If you missed out, we've got you covered. Here's the biggest announcements you'll want to catch up on!

Resident Evil 4 - The Remake

After years of rumours, and following the success of Biohazard and Village, Capcom finally confirmed that a Resident Evil 4 remake is on the way. Set six years after the biological disaster in Raccoon City, the game will follow Leon as he attempts to save the President's daughter from a horrific threat. A short trailer accompanied the announcement, showcasing the distributor's take on survival horror. Capcom is even developing VR content for the remake, but didn't exactly specify what that means.

The remake will release on March 24th 2023 on the Xbox Series X\S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain - Extended Gameplay

Horizon's new VR side story - Call Of The Mountain - was shown in extended gameplay. The clip sees Ryas, a former Shadow Carja Warrior, engage in archery and climbing while investigating a 'grave threat' to the planet. Although Alloy was absent, it has been confirmed that she will return alongside other recognisable (though likely non-playable) characters.

The game is currently in development and will release exclusively on the PlayStation VR2.

Final Fantasy XVI - Latest Trailer

Ahead of its release next Summer, fans were treated to an all-new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI. Plenty of noticeable characters were present in the franchises most mature entry yet, including Shiva, Odin, Phoenix and Tian. From the trailer, it seems that the Eikons will have a big part to play.

The 16th instalment will release in Summer 2023 on the PlayStation 5 and PC.

Street Fighter 6 - Coming In 2023

As all-new gameplay would suggest, Street Fighter 6 appears to have some open-world elements to it. Capcom's beloved title looks to be the biggest of the series yet, with a larger emphasis on the overarching story and features designed to intrigue players outside of the existing fanbase. Ryu, Chun-Li and Luke will return, with the latter rumoured to play the biggest role of them all.

The 6th instalment will release sometime in 2023 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Marvel's Spider Man - Remastered

Finally, Insomniac Games' most successful title is coming to the PC. Following Peter Parker's quest against Dr Octopus and Mr Negative, Marvel's Spider Man is one of PlayStation's best-sellers. With huge modding potential, the remastered edition will include the full main story and its continued narrative.

The remastered edition will release on August 12th 2022 on PC.

The Callisto Protocol - Coming In 2022

A new look at The Callisto Protocol came with an official release date. Inspired by the Dead Space series, the gruesome game follows the story of inmate Jason Lee, who must fight for his life when a mysterious outbreak throws his inmates and guards into chaos. The game's been highly anticipated. And, given its creators credentials, has plenty to live up to.

The game will release on December 22nd 2022 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

No Man's Sky - On VR2

Launching on PlayStation's VR2, the endless adventures in No Man's Sky are about to get a whole lot more immersive. Although it's already available on VR, the title is expected to include upgrades that take full advantage of the new headset and controller.

The game is currently in development and will release exclusively on the PlayStation VR2.
